About the Role
As a Medior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing our Flutter application, its Node.js backend, and everything that comes with it. Together with your team, you’ll improve our mobile app used by thousands of female students in tech.
Key Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of the HerFuture app: Work on our brand-new Flutter application and its Node.js backend, specifically created for female students in tech.
- Release and deploy: We release weekly - have an impact on thousands of students week-by-week.
- QA, Review and Test: Test new features before deployment, review code changes and write automated tests to make sure we don’t have any unwanted bugs or behavior.
- Collaborate with other teams: Work closely with the marketing, design, and sales to implement new features and improve existing ones.
- Random stuff: It's never boring at a startup and that means there's always something to do. Don't be surprised if you get pulled into a brainstorm meeting or if you make a new landing page for a new initiative. Your day can go any way!
What We’re Looking For
- 1–5 years of full-time work experience in a relevant field (web developer, software engineer, etc.)
- Have a bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science or software engineering
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
It’s a plus if:
- You have experience with Flutter
- You have experience with Typescript, Node.js or AWS
- You have worked at a startup / scaleup before
- You have worked with Webflow before
- You know how to work in an agile methodology, have worked in sprints before, and know Jira (or other similar ticketing systems)
- You speak Dutch
